OVER-EXPOSED Graduate Collection

  • Nadia Hodges

Inspired by the confidence and power of Victorian women defying social expectations by wearing men’s suits. It explores modesty and sexuality, femininity and androgyny and incorporating all these aspects into silhouettes that represent the modern concept of femininity. Colour stories and original prints were developed from the organic damage on 1900s daguerreotype photography. The title of the collection relates back to that whilst also taking ownership of the phrases used to put down women about their dress today.
