Oxford City Council | Wroclaw Spring

I’ve had a huge pleasure to collaborate with Oxford City Council. They commissioned me to create a design for display boards which will be used to enhance key events in Oxford throughout the year. What is more, I was asked to illustrate something connected with my home town because Wroclaw and Oxford are Twin Cities! I immediately thought about „King Arthur’s Court” by Magdalena Abakanowicz. That permanent, outdoor installation is situated near The National Museum in Wroclaw and it’s absolutely stunning. Abakanowicz is mostly known by her "Abakans" - soft sculptures made of fabric, so "King Arthur's Court" is even more interesting to see because it's quite unusual for that artist. What is more, right now we have in Wroclaw a beautiful exhibition of her works "Abakanowicz. Total" (till 28 August 2022). Really worth seeing if you’re around.
