Packaging Clean Meat – Eat JUST, Inc.

  • Hannah Kent

By the year 2050 the world will not be able to support the consumption of meat at the vast rate it is growing. Something needs to change and the clock is ticking. The project I am proposing is how can bringing lab-grown meat to market be successfully achieved. The packaging uses an illustration style of unique cells drawn to create the illustrations that represent the duplicating of meat cells that create the lab-grown meat. The back of the packaging also includes a step-by-step guide of how lab-grown meat is made to answer the many questions the customer may have of how it's made. Finally the side of the packaging let's the customer know that not only is the lab-grown meat much better for the planet but also that the packaging is compostable and will biodegrade within six months, compared to a plastic bag which takes up to 400 years. Giving the customer a clean conscience both in relation to the environment and the lack of animal cruelty, hence the name clean meat.
