Packaging Design | UNIQLO AIRism & HEATTECH

  • Samson Chung

This packaging concept for UNIQLO's HEATTECH and AIRism celebrates Japanese paper craft as well as bringing a new, sustainable packaging system.

This concept aims to elevate the experience with packaged UNIQLO products. By delivering well thought packaging, customers will pay more attention, and give products more respect and admiration. Recieving one should feel like a gift, and a celebration.
The use of paper not only references Japan's long association with paper craft, such as Origami and Kirigami, but also brings an element of Sustainability, drastically reducing the amount of plastic UNIQLO use.
This concept will fall in line with UNIQLO's mission to reduce plastic consumption by 85% by the end of 2020. AIRism and HEATTECH are constant best- sellers during summer and winter respectfully and by incorporating a plastic free packaging, UNIQLO's plastic consumption will be dramatically reduced. This system could then be extended to other packaged products.

A single piece of precision cut, high quality paper, folded meticulously perfectly parallels the value of UNIQLO’s products: Simple Made Better.
