To celebrate the bear’s debut on the big screen, HEART Productions designed and fabricated a red carpet experience inspired by the stories of Michael Bond. Guests entered via Darkest Peru with plants and cargo crates, while VIP guests including Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent had photos taken with oversized Marmalade jars.
A replica set of Paddington Station’s Lost and Found was built on the East Terrace setting the scene for the VIP red carpet interviews with Jenni Faulkner.
Over 160m of red carpet were installed along the East Terrace of the square, with full technical build and three set pieces.
Despite the typical British weather, the 1200 guests experienced the magic of Paddington, which included a photo moment with the bear himself.
