"It's been a godsend to have Emma on the team." - Festival Director. I'm excited to have been working with new client LOCO London Comedy Film Festival – the world’s leading Comedy Film Festival, to initiate and develop future partnership opportunities. LOCO, discovers, develops and screens the world’s most original comedy films and is supported by the British Film Institute (BFI). Pioneered by founder and Director Denise Hicks, the 7th Festival was held at the BFI’s prestigious Southbank venue, London in July, attracting 4,000 visitors from the film industry and comedy-loving festival goers. Speakers and guests have included Martin Freeman, Noel Fielding, Fiona Shaw and Monty Python’s Terry Jones. The Brief Our brief was to identify and approach potential partners to make them aware of the LOCO Festival and stimulate their interest in a future partnerships. Delivery Partnership Offers: with a wide range of potential partnership opportunities available, from Headline Sponsorship, to sponsorship of Awards and networking events, it was important to rationalise and clarify the different levels of partnerships available, their value of them and the benefits which should be offered in return. Research: 17 potential partners were identified and thoroughly researched. These are businesses which have a close affinity to the work of the LOCO Festival, some of which are current sponsors of film/comedy and others, film industry specialists. Presentation: the content of a presentation was reviewed and revised to bring the LOCO Festival’s strengths to the fore and provide even greater appeal to future partners. Contacts: contacts were established with a range of businesses, from global film industry leaders, to specialist film industry services companies. LOCO now has a clear, compelling offer for future partners and new, film industry contacts, creating a springboard to secure partnerships for the 2021 Festival. Testimonial It has been a godsend to have Emma from Pathfinder East on the team, championing the work of the festival to potential sponsorship partners. She grasped the strengths of the business very quickly and challenged some of our decision-making in a professional and constructive manner. Emma has been able to look upon our proposition objectively, from the perspective of potential partners, and identify areas of growth that we might not otherwise have seen. She has an excellent understanding of what partners are looking for in a sponsorship asset and we're really looking forward to working with Pathfinder East in the future. We are confident that Emma will help the organisation go from strength to strength. Denise Hicks, Founder and Director, LOCO
