To design an app to guide visitors through the exhibition of Paul Klee’s ”special class” works at Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig, Leipzig, Germany.
Paul Klee (1879–1940) is one of the most significant representatives of Classic Modernism. I designed the user interface (UI) for this interactive multimedia guide that moves in chronological order from the earliest to the latest phase of his career, with commentaries on 19 of the works on display, and 5 separate contextual sections which expand further the context and background of the artist himself. High resolution zoom-able images, vivid quotations and excerpts of documentary films on important aspects of Klee’s life and work, all serve to help give the visitor a comprehensive overview of Klee’s motivations and stylistic influences, and an in-depth understanding of the works on display.
