Permanently Impermanent

  • Finn Murphy

A poetic meditation on the impermanence of nature and the city. Shot over 6 months during a global pandemic, we are taken on a journey through London, witnessing the battle between nature and the developing city, accompanied by a construction worker, a Buddhist monk and a man in the woods. I shot, directed and edited the film which gave me an in-depth understanding of film production from start to finish with emphasis on contributor relationships and how to conduct successful interviews that drive narrative. Screened at the Whitechapel Gallery in January 2022.
