Personal Manifesto

  • Emilie Lim

A1 doubled-sided manifesto poster for a university project.

Outcome is to do research about the manifesto and create a double-sided poster that has text and pictures about my own manifesto as an A1 poster.
Firstly, I researched the text of the manifesto by looking up on YouTube, LinkedIn posts, and image search to find out 22 manifesto statements that resonated with me. Then I consulted with a journalist about my text and was provided with feedback. I have made the improvements such as making the text consistent, changing some grammar words, and rewording some text.

Creating the illustration
For the illustration, I was very much inspired by a friend who does MA Illustration. She has drawn me for her homework (image below), and I have taken a picture of it and used that illustration to inspire the design of the font cover of the manifesto. To create the posters I used Illustrator and InDesign with the pen tool.

For future improvements, I would like to spend time playing with the typography more on the second page to make it engaging for reading the statements. Secondly, I would like to align the textured paper together more so it does not leave a white visible line.
