The theme of the lastest Kpodonou’s collection and the subject that we wanted t o t ake on f or t he shoot i s porn. As the designer says, pornography might be taken as an emotional experiment. Beside the derived, physical pleasure, there’s a lot about the emotions - negative and positive as well - that are being woken up during the act of experience but also about t hose t hat motivate us t o drain i nto any kind of porn. Taking account of the emotional variety that is companning the issue, we can even go t his f ar and compare pornography t o t he l ife i tself - as Kpodonou does. Those culled emotions are t he f oundation of our states and t he t he propulsion of our attitudes, of what we do and who we are. Nowadays, here in Poland, the bravery for following the inner voice telling the truth about us such as sexuality, is a rare thing even though there’s a lot of individuals in the front row of polish art, fashion or show business which is being looked up by the younger masses. This kind of insincere behavior just make it harder for the teenagers, for example, to come out and feel comfortable in this conservative country, which - in fact - is their home and just buttress the statement of LGBT community as a t aboo. We wanted demolish any divisions of gender, relating to customs correctitude and also play with the common imagination of the non-straight people so for example we placed boys dressed as girls in the middle of the 17th century Royal Baths Park, posing such as and between all of those newlyweds all around or staying more in the hiding and going a little bit further - surrender sexual pleasures, which is more or less, people fighting for the salvage of the ‘true-man-and-woman-family’s popular vision of a gay date in the public. We also contrived a sexual event in the hair salon and in the atelie and managed to step into the main building and often featured as a symbol of Poland - Palace of Culture and Science.
