Leveraging the resources at my disposal—a studio space and a photographer friend—I spearheaded the organization of a dynamic networking event tailored for young creatives. This free portrait networking party provided a platform for individuals to mingle, forge connections, and expand their professional networks while also offering the opportunity to have their portraits captured for personal and professional use, all at no cost. To enhance the event's appeal and limit costs for participants, I successfully secured a drinks sponsor, ensuring a convivial atmosphere without imposing any additional expenses on attendees With 30+ attendees(surpassing expectations) overall, the event was a success, fostering numerous meaningful relationships and laying the foundation for the inception of CBC Next Gen. This youth division of Camden Black Creatives aims to shine a spotlight on emerging talent and provide direct opportunities for young creatives to thrive and excel in their respective fields.
