PHOTOGRAMS

Drawing on the contradictory materiality of images, I wanted to treat the texture of the image as a portal into its contents which puts pressure on its own physicality. The photograms are both an illusion and a real record of the image’s process, an escape hatch and a kind of forensic rubbing.
