Physicality in a Space (2020)

'Physicality in a space' is a collection of paintings identifying the process behind painting and finding out what I can achieve beyond my control. My work focuses on how space, surface and gravity can become impactful. Often taking myself out of the equation, letting physical forces make the decisions for me, I have always been interested in a spontaneous and impulsive attitude to artwork and letting the viewer establish their own narrative. I like paintings that have a variety of narratives, left completely open to interpretation. I rarely go to the canvas with a straight-forward plan in my head.
