Coinciding with 20th Century Week in London, Christie’s presented an auction of unique ceramics, editioned pieces, tiles and medallions by Pablo Picasso. The identity was inspired by Picasso’s depiction of his own name, using lower case ‘i’s. As this auction was aimed at new collectors as well as established ones I chose the modern sans-serif typeface Futura. This gave the exhibition an inviting and welcoming feeling appropriate for new buyers. The identity came in three different colours chosen to compliment the ceramics. These colours were also used on the walls, lot cards and signage throughout the exhibition.
