2020 marks 125 years since Robert Hunter, Canon Hardwicke Rawnsley and Octavia Hill co-founded the National Trust. In London, this anniversary will be marked by a yearlong programme of urban tree planting across the London Borough of Lewisham. This project will see 125 trees planted across Lewisham in areas with low tree coverage and the creation of a new garden in Sayes Court Park, a site with a significant historical link to the founding of the National Trust. In February 2020, this partnership was formally annouced with a tree planting event in Sayes Court Park.
