"flex" plywood shelf
exhibited at STAGED 2013 cross-border design award + show
The idea of having an easy-to-adjust and collapsible storage space led to the creation of the flex shelf. The structural junctions are designed such that no extra elements are required. Their appearance, meanwhile, humorously aestheticises the whole stand-alone. The shelf is made using one piece of large-format plywood on a CNC machine, which minimises production costs. Any damaged part is easy to replace. The shelf can be adjusted for height as you wish. The stand is mainly designed for showrooms in an industrial environment, where it blends in fittingly with the architecture.
