POETRY ILLUSTRATION BOOK

Some illustrations for poems written by a family member.

First illustration is for a poem called "Starry Night".

"Looking out into space
On a bright starry night,
A million stars ever so bright.
One in particular caught my eye"

This is just part of the poem which is about an angel appearing in a starry night sky, visiting a loved one on earth and filling them with peace as they reminise on old times.
"You left me with a broken heart, the day you went away,
You left me with just memories, to get me through the day."

Extract and illustration from a poem called "Remember"

In this illustration it shows someone grieving the loss of a partner, I wanted to show them looking at all the memories they shared together, through the use of the photo frames. There are also clocks shown as the poem discusses time.
From "In Our Dreams". This poem is about a dream the author had, which included three little men in hats in his garden shed!
"30 years ago, I met a chap.
Sandals on feet, a long brown coat and wooly hat.
Oh!! He said, what a lovely day,
Nice place to live, nice place to stay."

From a poem called "Brother Harold"
Below is the illustration for "A Walk"

'Its spring on the moors away from my home,
Where flowers bloom and I like to roam,
A friend took me, way out there,
To a place of beauty we did share"
