Portraits of Icons

  • Michael Cox

A personal project where I painted inspring figures who have made enormous contributions in their chosen field. These digital paintings were created digitally on Artrage 6 in digital oils.

A portrait of the late Sir Ken Robinson, best known for one of the most viewed TED talks of all time 'Do Schools Kill Creativity'. His talks and books really inspired me. I wanted the portrait to capture his jovial warm nature.
This is a portrait of the pioneering late American Hypnotherapist Milton H. Erickson. His Ericksonian techniques were studied in depth by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, who together synthesised his work into an easily accessible form of therapeutic self development/therapy known as Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP. This therapy is now practiced the world over.
Carl Jung. Digital portrait.
