Posterheroes 2019 - Poster for Integration

Poster design competition. The brief was to create a poster to represent the theme of Integration. You could interpret it however you wanted. Personally I felt the word represented cultural integration and I wanted to show this in a positive sense. The words I associated with it were positivity, togetherness, strength, love and sharing. I chose the word love, written in two very different languages from two very different cultures - Arabic and Japanese The gold text is the arabic word for love written in a Kufic geometric script. The black is the same word in Japanese Kanji script. The words are intertwined, lovingly weaved together. The result is beautiful to me and shows how you can make something beautiful when you integrate!
