PostPals

  • John Sim

In a world full of instant messaging, communication has become very impersonal and passive. PostPals is a service that aims to combat this by utilising letter writing as a way of communicating. The user signs up online and is then paired with a buddy, they receive a chatbook, icebreaker book, an id card and postal boxes to send their books back and forth. The aim of using a chatbook over pieces of paper is so the users have a record of there conversations which they are able to look back on over time. Included in the icebreaker book is a collection of activities which are designed to make the participants open up and be more vulnerable with eachother.
