Againstallodds return to the jungle for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games
Produced by Passion Studios, directing team Againstallodds have created a captivating new film for the BBC, The Greatest Show on Earth, launching the broadcaster’s coverage of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Influenced by the landscape of Rio’s Tijuca Forest, Againstallodds with agency RKCR/Y&R have produced an energetic narrative following athletes’ transformation from animal to human. It is Againstallodds’ stylistic storytelling and 3D form that allows this film to explore the vibrancy and spirit of this year’s host city of the Olympic Games, Rio.
With Againstallodds’ showreel of animal animations and unique way of bring them to life, the creative team were ready for the challenge of producing a nationally-recognised film to inspire and connect viewers with the Olympics coverage. As a sloth transforms into a gymnast and panther into a sprinter, this film effortlessly captures the animal-like speed, grace and strength of Olympic athletes and the global excitement leading up to the Games.
