The desperate nihilism that comes through the music of Public Body suits the tired cycle our world has become trapped in since at least the 1970’s. One writer described their work as “the perfect soundtrack to whatever you do whilst procrastinating at your day job”.
We summed up the band’s vision of a culture of drudgery with a simple thought – what if the information age never happened? That question, and the temporal tension that arises out of it, informed our design style, which had a focus on hand-production techniques, historical imagery and horizontally-futuristic typography.
