Ben is a single man in his early 30’s, who lives on his own in modern day London. He spends most of his time alone and avoids interaction with new people, always. He is desperate for love and finding companionship, but not being able to talk to new people, especially women, he finds this very challenging. Ben falls in love with June a mail order bride from Thailand and finally gets the courage and passion to live his life. The problem with Ben’s mail order bride June, is that she’s a blow up doll.
We watch as Ben and June’s relationship grows as they spend a day out together in Brighton. We witness the surreal and dream like world Ben lives in, and his complete lack of coping mechanisms to the real world around him.
During a freak accident with June, where she tragically gets punctured, we watch as Ben’s reality crumbles down around him.
