Punk: An Aesthetic book

We completed the UK media campaign for acclaimed American arts publisher Rizzoli’s hardback book, Punk: An Aesthetic, edited by Johan Kugelberg and Jon Savage, released as a visual companion to Savage’s seminal England’s Dreaming.

As well as the book, we also worked to promote an exhibition featuring the book’s content at the Hayward Gallery, Southbank Centre.

Coverage included a BBC Radio 4 – Front Row interview, feature spread in the Independent on Sunday Magazine, 6 pages in Nouvelle Observateur (France), a full page in Uncut, 8 pages in Dazed & Confused and lead, 4-star Mojo review.

Further print articles ran in Observer Magazine, The Guardian - G2, Attitude, Bizarre, Creative Review, Daily Telegraph, Notion, Prospect, Record Collector, The Wire, Vice, Gay Times and Art & Music.

Online coverage ranged from BBC News online to Sunday Times Spectrum blog, The Times online, Guardian online, Music-News, The Quietus, BJP, El Pais, Time Out blog, It’s Nice That, Huffington Post, Culture24, Design Week, Fact, Clash, We Heart, Nowness, AnOther and more.

We also worked on PR for Rizzoli’s Velvet Underground: New York Art book and have managed book publicity for titles published by Four Corners Books (Beauty is in the Street), Faber Social (Yeah Yeah Yeah - The Story of Modern Pop by Bob Stanley), Thames & Hudson (William Scott catalogue raisonnée) and Sinecure Books (Enjoy the Experience: Homemade Records 1958 - 1992 and Houston Rap).
