Racism; The Man-Made psychological Virus: A Direct Link To Wealth, Capitalism and The Corona Virus. A visual and interactive essay. During the initial spread of the worldwide spread of protests during the summer due to the viral video of George Floyd's avoidable "incident" following his death, racial injustice and inequity have come to the forefront, and hopefully, everyone is taking this seriously to not let its momentum slow down or come to a standstill. What we're looking at shouldn't be considered a political issue, but a humanitarian issue; people are currently dying all over the world due to the colour of their skin... An increase of melanin due to being more exposed to UV rays if you like. The fact that this is a subject that is being debated, is more than enough proof, that we, as a global society are not as empathetic as we should be. Continuing on this path will only run our societies into the ground. We've been living this way for 400 years but can we honestly say with a truthful heart, whilst looking at your worst of neighbour (metaphorically) that our current system, is fair, just and works for all??? Everyone has their own little ways they can help, some use their time; listening, learning, conversing and comforting. Some are fortunate enough to be able to donate and some offer their knowledge while others go to protest. There is no right or wrong, as long as we're doing something for a better tomorrow. That forced me to ask myself the question "how can I help? What do I have to offer?" and this is how Race Virus was born. We update every Tuesday and Thursday, sometimes Wednesday and Friday.
