We offer a bespoke modern and traditional upholstery and chair caning service. Each commission (individual or contract) is dealt with using a personal approach. Our aim is to create a durable and sustainable item of furniture, with a carefully considered fabric to suit the item’s use and location.
Rachael has had an extensive career as a freelance textile product designer and bespoke Passemanterie Designer. She has now taken on her father’s (Terry South) established upholstery business. Her aim is to apply traditional technical excellence with a contemporary execution. Rachael was taught the craft of chair caning and rush seating by her father who had himself been taught by his father Michael South.
