Rain Ritual

An atmospheric pixel-world game.

A traveller arrives by moonlight at an ancient temple....
They have come to perform the Rain Ritual.
This is a short game made using a tool called Bitsy. You can play it here.
You play as a weary traveller, arriving at a desolate temple during a full moon. The rain beats down. It is time to perform the most important ritual of your life. The Rain Ritual.
Before you access the temple, you may interact with the Guardians of the holy precinct. They may share advice, or wisdom, or garbled nonsense. When you are ready, you enter the temple and speak to the lonely soul within...
I made this game because I really enjoyed the Bitsy tool; the simplicity forces you to be economical with storytelling and scene-scetting. You can achieve some interesting and at times beautiful aesthetics within the constraints of the format. Have a play, let me know what you think!
