Rebel Tartan - Collaboration Project - Second Year - University of Brighton

As part of my second year of University, I collaborated with other students on my course to create a team of designers from each specialism, Weave, Print, and Knit. Rebel Tartan is a textile designer creating weaves to protest against ethical issues. The ethical issue our group chose to address was the refugee crisis and the problem of human trafficking over the sea and the perilous journeys the refugees undertook in order to try and find a better life for themselves. We started by looking morse code distress signals and the debris from boat wreckage.
