Red Stripe Apparel
Jamaican Lager. Red Stripe is a beer originated from Jamaica, filled with style, culture and much more of what Jamaica has to offer, especially through our brothers from the paradise island. This project shows it's culture respectfully, though music, mannerisms, dancing, folklore, travel and much more.
This is a special piece created for stories on instagram, it had the goal to interact with the consummer.
Now, about the apparel collection:
Here we present a clothing collection designed with the intention not only to sell as a souvenir, but as a lifestyle so foreigners can feel a bit of what Red Stripe represents.
The Moodboard:
Afros, music, style, identity, way of life, beach, relaxation, cool vibes, rasta, dreadlocks. Just to name a few of what surrounds the culture that so many others follow until today. To start a clothing line is necessary to collect images that translate the inspiration and lifestyle, so you know what you're creating has a meaning and follows what indeed represents.
Fonts
We have some fonts that we use on our digital platforms, but decided to use the red one, since it's handmade and very personalized.
Colors
What defines Red Stripe is the blacks, whites and reds. We translated this to the rough and handmade look, the ink splatter around main illustrations.
Style
The collages in black, the grainy textures and the liquid fluid we sometimes apply in red, as the Jamaican pride is taking over.
