Redbridge Women Network was formed in 2019 and started with the ambition of uniting local women, creating a space where relationships can be built and opportunities shared. In the past we hosted performances from Bollywood dancing students and featured an inspiring talk with the UK’s youngest female CEO – at just ten years old! 2020 will expand on last year, featuring an exciting open-call opportunity, wonderful guest speakers, and comprehensive selection of pop-up stalls. Through this year’s event we aim to celebrate culture, religion, and individual femininity; exploring each women’s inspiring role and how they have put their own personal stamp on the world. Working towards including twenty women who live/ are from the Borough of Redbridge will be given the opportunity to participate and tell their own story, sharing their lives and passions with the wider Redbridge community. Our primary mission through this initiative is to help enhance our community, and celebrate womanhood through an event that coincides with International Women’s Day. The stories of women shared on International Women’s Day (8th March 2020) will provide an excellent platform to build bridges across our Borough. With this in mind, Redbridge Women Network wants to provide life lessons, increase awareness of present issues in society and promote stories that inspire others.
