Redesigning 'A Life on Our Planet' Book cover

I have redesigned the recent publication of David Attenborough’s latest book as an illustration of Sir Attenborough alongside animals in nature. I thought that the original cover that was a photograph of David, was professional but I felt that it appeared to be for older audiences only. The purpose of David Attenborough’s book is for everyone of all ages, race and background to recognise the impact of human life and how it is affecting and killing our planet/ecosystem. By using an illustration as the main focus of the cover design, I believe it will be more visually engaging to a broader range of ages. It was fundamental to me to include the colour green for its connotations of nature and health. If this cover was going to be produced I would strongly push for the use of printing on a recycled material whilst also using vegetable inks to make this book as environmentally friendly as possible.
