REDESIGNING THE NEWS

Due to our lives becoming increasingly busy most people are unable to take out time from their morning schedules to read the newspaper. A large part of the population today therefore listens to news radio while driving to work. In recognition of these lifestyle necessities, my proposal was to introduce audio into the news. Essentially, an interactive audio News platform. The new Financial Times would have a persona of an editorial version of the voice recognition technology available on most smartphones. This would further include details such as the listener being able to drop a voice comment on articles and getting a live update on their stocks. My final presentation of the project was in the form of an enactment of how a user would interact with this new technology.
