REMEMBER ME: ALZHEIMER'S AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

  • Josh Penn
The theme for this World Alzheimer's Month campaign is ‘Remember Me’, encouraging people from all around the world to learn to remember those that are living with dementia and their care partners, but also not to forget about loved ones who may have passed away.
World Alzheimer's Month is the international campaign every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. 2 out of every 3 people globally believe there is little or no understanding of dementia in their countries. The impact of World Alzheimer's Month is growing, but the stigmatisation and misinformation that surrounds dementia remains a global problem, that requires global action.
The Content I Have Created Includes 2 Animations, one designed for large screen viewings and the other for social media advertising. I have also created a small square publication that would be handed out at these charity events.
This video shown is an awareness piece for a 'fictional' charity that holds events as an attempt to educate and raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease, created by me; intended to communicate to those that visit and get involved at these charitable events, taking them through a narrative like video describing and demonstrating what Alzheimer's disease is and some of its effects.
This video is a shorter, simpler version, intended for use on social media accounts as a way to spread the news of upcoming charity public events.
The following publication is a small square piece that would be handed out at these charity events, the publication is full of exciting imagery but also includes personal quotes from people who suffer from Alzheimer's disease, or people who are involved in the lives of those that suffer. The publications intended purpose is to create empathy and encourage people to get involved and want to help cure Alzheimer's.
