Rise is a desk lamp, taking inspiration from the strong, vertical sweeping lines of a hot air balloon to create a free flowing and truly unique design. Due to the nature of generative design, this product’s aesthetic and general form can be manipulated by changing different parameters within the code. In doing so, a customer could define themselves their own exclusive, custom lamp.
We sketched out some initial ideas, then started developing the lamp within Grasshopper. Several different forms were created by applying different functions and parameters until we reached our final model.
