'Rising Voices' short film series reviews (season 1) introducing two of the films 'Flames' and 'Aurinko in Adagio'.

  • Ngozi Okorie
  • Leanne Francis

Leanne reviewed the Rising Voices film series for us, she wrote - "In early 2021, Lena Waithe and Indeed created the ‘Rising Voices’ initiative, which set out to “discover, invest in and share stories created by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) filmmakers & storytellers. Each filmmaker was awarded a $100,000 production budget, and crew, to create an original and impactful short film. From Korea to China, Peru and Nigeria, these Rising Voices directors represent talent from across the globe, each with unique stories to tell about their communities and incredible ways of telling them". Read the reviews and watch these, and the other, fantastic short films - links below. Go on - they're both less than 15 minutes long. Enjoy!
