Hope is a currency which I created to help the homeless. The problem, which I gained through some one on one research by talking to a homeless man was that when they recieve any amounts of cash is that theft is a huge worry for them, at night especially they are very vulnerable.
This is alongside the actual brief which is based on the ‘premuim poverty’ which is people without a bank account having to pay more for services. Therefore the problem was unprotected cash. Hope currency is based on the technology of bitcoin, the way bitcoin works is it’s a crypto-currency and more signifficantly the currency you have is unique to you, so if stolen it has a log and everyone on the network would know and therefore becomes useless to the person to has stolen it. Using the core technology of Bitcoin I have created a currency and system for the homeless. The hope branding alongside the ladder is a sense of a stepping stone, a chance for them to climb up the financial ladder.
