I'm Lola Li, a 24-year-old photographer and visual artist based in London. I draw inspiration from my multicultural background, exploring interplay between time and space. Against the rugged backdrop of a car bodyshop, a rooftop carpark, and the echoes of an old factory, we showcase a kaleidoscope of colourful garments. The industrial setting, with its raw textures and urban charm, serves as a striking contrast to the delicate tenderness of the models. This collection not only celebrates fashion but transforms the ordinary into extraordinary, revealing the beauty in unexpected places. I used both digital and medium format film on this shoot. The glitch effect in the b&w image was a result of an accidental double exposure from misloaded film. The series was inspired by Steven Meisel's 1990s Vogue editorial shot on a construction site.
