Sam Hadley

After graduating from Falmouth University, Sam launched into a successful freelance illustration career. He’s worked on a huge variety of projects, from advertising and packaging to publishing and editorial. After initially working in a variety of styles, he has evolved a painterly illustrative style that references the styles of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. He’s inspired by classic movie posters and illustration from the mid century era, but chooses to create his work digitally. Solid draftsmanship underpins his painting, and he works hard to achieve that perfect balance between realism and expression with his brushwork. He’s worked with clients all over the world, creating book covers, billboards, editorials, posters, and anything else an art director can dream up. He is an experienced and illustrator who is comfortable with the most challenging of projects.
Having recently worked with TBS to create a series of posters to promote the U.S. television series ’Search Party’, Sam is keen to continue this kind of work and dreams of creating posters for the film industry.
Sam has recently relocated from the U.K. to the beautiful south west of Ireland with his wife and two young children.
Client list: Coke, Adidas, Time Out New York, Saachi&Saachi, GQ, Penguin, Elmwood, Variety Magazine, Taxi Studio, Carlsberg, Madison Square Garden, Aardman, Rockstar, Sony Music, The Washington Post, Mondolez, English National Opera, and many others too numerous to mention.
Sam is featured in the book ‘200 Best Illustrators Worldwide’
