What is Sammelwerk Zine?
Sammelwerk is an online publication featuring a collection of submitted written and visual creative work.
Each issue focuses on a common theme and all published artist’s work connects to it in one way or another. Each issue is curated by the founding members and a further committee, specially selected for each issue.
The aim is to give lesser-known artists more exposure and provide them with platform to showcase and art fans to find their work.
Sammelwerk was founded by UWE Bristol photography graduates, Ella Harris, Imogen Bastone and Nele Hinn, in 2017. Its first issue went public in May 2018.
My Role in Sammelwerk
I am the editor, designer and art director of the magazine. My main responsiblities lie in managing the team, consulting committee and submissions, creating the design and layout of the zine as well as all promotional materials (social media content, website, etc.), and choosing which work is being published with my co-editors and the committee.
