“My new film, GS. I shot with @aneurin_b We’ve been working on capturing imagery using a Gaussian Splat process. Nike’s Air Max Plus celebrated its 25th-anniversary last year, and I thought these trainers would be great to shoot. The process works by firing off a load of still cameras simultaneously. Then, using AI, you create a 3D image that you can travel around in any way you want—capturing amazing detail. All the lighting was done in camera with a mixture of flash and hand-held tube lights, and very little post was carried out after. AI is controversial right now, with copyright issues, etc. However, with this process, we shot all the images the AI used to make the film. So, there are no issues.
