A selected submission from their open-call “Sultry”. I loved writing this poem. It's based around the weird in-between space of autumn where people aren't having summer romances anymore and aren't in a rush to couple up. It's a time when most of my friends find themselves heartbroken, which isn't in itself sultry but most of the things that tend to happen during those times are sultry, covert and complex.
