Urban music channel SB.TV was in Birmingham’s Custard Factory in Digbeth today, for an all-day interactive music and multimedia pop-up experience, live streamed via SB.TV's facebook live. Billed as an “SB.TV takeover”, the popular entertainment platform was fully engaged and in swing as local artists performed music sets, freestyles and dropped bars, as the online brand streamed and captured the day’s activities in real time. Performance artists attending the event included Afro Queen, Lady Sanity, Affie Jam, Jae Renee, Weyland Mckenzie, Franklyn Armstrong, VITAL, WestLee, Manage, Firedon, RTKal, BM4RK, T-Roadz, KY’Orion, T-Ace and more. DJ sets from Romderful, Smooth Fuego, DJ Kingpin and Aychibs. SB.TV’s popular interactive A64, cypher and warm-up sessions got the musically minded energised for some explosive lyrical fireworks. The highly-ranked channel – founded by young entrepreneur Jamal Edwards – also delivered live art portraits by renowned artists Art By Az and Sweaty Eskimo, followed by DJ sets and performances from the likes of K2, Remz and Wolverhampton rising grime star Vital. Project pitched and initiated by Aliyah Hasinah and Curated/Produced in collaboration with Amahra Spence, Rakeem Omar, Despa Robinson and Smooth Fuego.
