Scenic Art: In the Heights

I assisted Emeline Beroud who was the set designer, consolidating and adapting her initial designs for the signs and door frames and painting them. The brief envisaged a set where the orchestra would be visible, so many of the complications came with creating a sense of the space with a platform behind, upon which the instrumentalists would remain in full view of the audience. The use of door frames and signs to give a sense of the street without obstructing any view helped to achieve this.
