For my final major project at university, my publication Screwball is a publication based around fear, and as we are currently going through one of the scariest times in all our lives, it only felt right to dedicate this issue to coronavirus. This issue aims to inspire to create, educate, discuss and add some light humour to topics that we have all heard or seen amid this pandemic, with a lot of the images being inspired by headlines I’ve found in the media. I’ve made the garments, photographed myself on self-timer or my sister, and edited all these pictures all from my bedroom. The mission of this issue in Screwball’s timeline is to add some weird and wonderful relief through imagery and written word to the reader and showing people they aren’t alone in their worries, forever pinpointing a time in history. The following is showing snippets of what is within Screwball, from photography, interviews and written pieces.
