Sea Assemblage

  • Fanny Lutze

Sea Assemblage is an exploration of sea knotting techniques in order to assemble textiles, made entirely of sea waste. The textiles are designed to disassemble so they can be repurposed continuously. The joining knots are not only designed for a circular concept of assemble, disassemble and reassemble but also help reject any wastage of material. Sea Assemblage provides a new system to make the product last longer and be more useful by giving the consumer the opportunity to construct and customise it in their own way by un-tieing and re-knotting the joining rope.
