Secluded Landscapes

Secluded Landscapes is a design project which I created at the end of last year as a response to the Colour Hive S/S: 19 trend, Hush. The focus of the trend was on slow living and escaping the digital world. Inspiration for this project came from landscapes in the South of France and the traditional craft technique of hand embroidering samplers. Materiality was important for communicating this trend so light and semi transparent gauzy fabrics were mostly embroidered and printed onto. The colour pallet for this project was restricted to mostly neural tones with brighter highlights of peach and cornflower blue. The outcome of this project was a series of design concepts and fabric samples responding to the trend.
