Formed in 2005 by Rob Carmichael, SEEN is an independent art direction and graphic design studio working primarily in the music, publishing, and cultural spheres. Based in Los Angeles, the studio's work is realized in various mediums: packaging, books, posters, clothing, identities, and websites. Collaborations with visual artists, illustrators, photographers, programmers, musicians, and fellow graphic designers are an essential part of the SEEN aesthetic. Notable projects include artwork for the likes of Animal Collective, The War On Drugs, Dirty Projectors, Real Estate, Panda Bear, Beirut, Dan Deacon, LCD Soundsystem, and John Cale.
