Seid is an ancient Scandinavian practice of transformation: a transition from one state to another. Every transition takes place in the time enclosed between two moments. The change of states is continuous and exists as something that is inside us and outside of us.
This installation is an attempt to explore the process of transition from the inside and outside. The audio-visual immersive experience inside the installation is created through the translation of the versatility of states.
This installation translates, in real-time, the viewer’s movement onto a series of screens. As a form of audio-visual shadow play, it collapses the distance between the viewer and their image, creating a multidimensional experience of mixed body states.
