Serendipity

  • Lauren Algar

A project focusing on serendipitous patterns found within walls, windows, doors and drain covers. It features an autumnal colour palette that’s intention is to bring the warmth of 1960s-1970s interiors back into the modern home whilst showcasing the contemporary spin I have placed on this era. My target market is for the luxury modern home that features very little pattern or vibrant colour. Each item would be created one off for this application. This collection is composed of multiple hand-crafted elements; screen printing and painting, hand quilting, CAD embroidery, tufting and weaving. It is a bespoke artisanal collection of rugs, furnishing fabrics and wallpapers all made from sustainably sourced natural raw materials (cotton, wool, linen, recycled paper and cork leather).
