In my third year of university, I co-founded Veža Theatre Company, and we created and performed our production ‘She.’, a piece that affectively began active discussion about women’s reproductive rights. We incorporated a range of music within the piece from artists such as Apex Twin, marrying them with movement. This gained the highest grade the university has ever given for that particular module, and was so well received that it became the only production to be showcased at the Yard Theatre in Hackney in 2018, performed in front of our peers and industry professionals. This piece really encompassed my achievements at university – it was politically driven, female-focused and sharply executed.
